The Basilisk is currently the only Caldari based logistics ship in operation. It is based on it's close cousin the Osprey in both look and design. It is an extremely capable ship in support roles but lacks when it comes to combat roles, despite its capability for missile and turret options. It receives bonuses towards its energy transfer and shield tranfer arrays but is normally defensive when it falls under attack, relying for the most part on it's shields.
With a decent number of mid range slots it is capable of withstanding extreme punishment according to the modules used, however when the shields do fail, the ship can be lost easily unless your gang or fleet is on the ball and destroys the enemies targeting it. It is very useful in both PvP and PvE roles, however as soon as a PvP fleet realises the logistics ship is there, it will come under heavy fire. The ship can launch a single heavy drone or multiple medium drones, providing options for both attack and defensive operations although the normal logistic drones are purely for maintaining the gang and/or fleet.

Following in the time-honored Caldari spaceship design tradition, the Basilisk sports top-of-the-line on-board computer systems specially designed to facilitate shield transporting arrays, while sacrificing some of the structural strength commonly found in vessels of its class.

With the Basilisk, their aim was to continue pushing forward the development of cutting-edge defense optimization systems while providing powerful support capability.
