The Crusader is notable for being, like the Crow, a very effective long range pvp frigate. While it doesn't have the capability to effective fit a stasis webifier for proper tackling, it negates this issue by being able to stay out of web range while shooting, and keep a target warp disrupted while being able to maintain its distance against anything except a Dramiel. Crusaders or other long-point specialty interceptors are best used in conjunction with an assault frigate than can properly pin down an enemy vessel.

Another combat advantage the crusader has are its many lowslots; this grants it a wide variety of combat choices, including a a full armor tank, the ability to snipe at its disruptor range, and/or the capability to fit 4 medium pulse lasers.
