Data Centers

From EVEWiki

(Redirected from Data Center Agents)
Jump to: navigation, search

Data centers are deadspace locations found at beacons in high-security 'empire' space. There are twelve data centers total, which is three data centers per major empire faction (Caldari, Minmatar, Gallente), however Amarr split theirs with the Ammatar (and hence have more agents total). Each is a single location with two or more agents each (the agents are located on interactable ships). Each Data Center focuses on one of the major npc pirate factions; Caldari collect Guristas, Gallente collect Serpentis, Minmatar collect Angel, Amarr collect Sansha and Ammatar collect Blood (their agents are however somewhat mixed).

At each location, one agent offers the "Graduation Certificate" mission while the rest offer the "Keeping Crime in Check" mission, a few also offer "Data Transportation" mission. Graduation Certificate and Data Transportation are simple courier missions, worth doing because they are storyline missions hence giving you a faction standing boost. For Keeping Crime in Check missions you will need to collect common pirate dog tags (copper, bronze, silver, electrum, brass, palladium, gold, crystal, platinum, and diamond). The rewards include named items and a storyline-level faction increase. You can only talk to each agent once (note you need standard standings to talk to the agent based on their level and quality) and if your standings with a faction are already above 5.0 then the results will be much poorer. Sometimes agents will give the higher of standings increases and sometimes the lower number; it is unknown what basis this decision is made. The rewards and time for bonuses are random between the lower and higher numbers. The major Data Centers always have a set of agents with the following Levels and Qualities and they always ask for the same set of tags. The standing required needs to be for either the corp or faction of the agent.

They can be found at yellow beacon icons in the systems listed below.

Level / Quality / Required
standing /
Tag Type / estimated isk per tag
1 0 n/a Copper 200k - 2,000k
1 20 1.00 Bronze 30k - 3,000k
2 0 2.00 Silver 40k - 2,000k
2 20 3.00 Brass 900k - 6,000k
3 0 4.00 Palladium 70k - 2,000k
3 15 4.75 Gold 2,000k - 30,000k
3 20 5.00 Electrum 10k - 500k
4 -20 5.00 Crystal 50k - 1,000k
4 0 6.00 Platinum 500k - 9,000k
4 20 7.00 Diamond 800k - 7,000k

Notes:

  • Prices fluctuate widely based on region, time and Faction Warfare demands. You have been warned.
  • Copper tags are asked for in sets of 10 and all other tag types are wanted in a set of 20.
  • Guristas tags are most common and tend to be cheapest while Blood tags are harder to find.
  • Tags used in Extra style missions to open the bonus gate will possibly cost more due to extra demand.
  • The mission rewards are given as the base with Negotiation skill untrained. Every level of Negotiation increases rewards by 5%.
  • The missions standings boosts are also given as base and every level of Social skill adds 5% increase.
  • Sometimes the agents give the lower standing boosts and othertimes the higher.
  • Rewards and bonus time limits are random between the two number listed for each.

DED Beacon Report:

"This is a standard Data Center, built-in with a long range scanner to search for interesting phenomenon in the solar-system. They are usually packed with tourists and holiday-goers but have also been known to attract agents looking to hire freelancers for various tasks. These Data Centers were first produced by the Gallente corporation The Scope, but have since been mimicked by corporations in other nations due to their popularity."
