Interceptors are small, extremely fast ships which can swarm large ships like hornets. They rip apart most medium and small sized ships and can immobilize larger ships very effectively.
While quite weak structurally, the key strength of the Interceptor lies in its minute Signature Radius, which when combined with high top speed, makes the ship extremely difficult to hit with all but the smallest weaponry. This makes the Interceptor an ideal tackler ship, able to close swiftly and begin jamming and scrambling before a larger opponent has even finished a target lock.
