"Making Mountains of Molehills
- Making Mountains of Molehills (1 of 10) - mining
- Mine some Veldspar for your agent.
- Reward: Miner I
- Time bonus: money
- Walkthrough:
- Select the destination via: People & Places > Places > Agent Missions (folder) > location. (Note: The "Astroid Belt" in the solar system is not the same as the mission location.)
- Empty your cargohold into your hangar; undock and warp to the Mission Destination.
- You may see a few barren rocks; mine veldspar from the (only) TINY asteroid available at that location. Return and place it in your hangar.
- For the starter ship, you'll need to make two trips for enough veldspar to complete the quest.
- Making Mountains of Molehills (2 of 10) - mining and refining
- Reward: 1 unit of (racial mining frigate): Tormentor (for Amarr version), Bantam (for Caldari version), Navitas (for Gallente version), or Burst (for Minmatar version)
- Time bonus: money
- Walkthrough:
Note: Due to competition, local asteroid belts may be empty. In this case, run Balancing The Books first and pick up the Veldspar from the pockets there.
- Making Mountains of Molehills (3 of 10) - industry
- Required skill: Industry
- Granted: Civilian Afterburner Blueprint Copy
- Manufacture/acquire 2 units of Civilian Afterburner.
- Reward: Expanded Cargohold I
- Time bonus: money
- Walkthrough:
- Right click the civilian afterburner in your hangar and select "Manufacturing."
- Set the runs to 2.
- Choose an available assembly line, click ok, and accept the quote. Wait 2-3 minutes.
- Select Science & Industry, press the Get Jobs button, and if your job is ready select it and press the deliver button.
- Get more tritanium if you have to.
- Making Mountains of Molehills (4 of 10) - encounter
- Kill rogue drones, and mine Veldspar and refine it until you have 7000 units of Tritanium (70.0 m3).
- Reward: Miner I
- Time bonus: money
- Making Mountains of Molehills (5 of 10) - courier
- Courier 15 units of Miniature Electronics (30.0 m3)
- Granted 1MN Afterburner I
- Reward: Expanded Cargohold I
- Time bonus: money
- Making Mountains of Molehills (6 of 10) - industry
- Required skill: Industry
- Granted: Cap Booster 25 Blueprint Copy
- Manufacture/acquire 20 units of Cap Booster 25.
- Reward: money
- Time bonus: money
- Making Mountains of Molehills (7 of 10) - Courier
- Courier 20 units of Cap Booster 25 (20.0 m3)
- Reward: 1 unit of Overdrive Injector System I
- Time bonus: money
- Walkthrough:
- Move the Cap Booster 25 from the hangar to your cargohold.
- Warp to the destination and speak with the agent.
- Making Mountains of Molehills (8 of 10) - Industry
- Use the granted Civilian (racial) Shuttle Blueprint to create a civilian shuttle and give it to your agent. (It must be at the agent's station, which usually means you create it in facilities there.)
- Granted Items: Civilian (racial) Shuttle Blueprint copy, such as Civilian Minmatar Shuttle Blueprint (for Minmatar version)
- Reward: money
- Time bonus: money
- Walkthrough:
- Manufacture the shuttle blueprints in the hangar (buy or mine any further tritanium you need).
- NOTE: cargo capacity is not an issue as long as you do the assembly in the station where you accepted the quest.
- Making Mountains of Molehills (9 of 10) - Mining/Kill
- Mine some ore until a wayward production assistant comes by in a pirate craft, then destroy the ship and retrieve the assistant.
- Reward: money
- Time bonus: money
- Walkthrough:
- Warp to the destination and start mining. When the pirate arrives, destroy it and get the assistant.
- Before completing the mission, there is something to be said for returning to mine at least 400 m^3 of Kernite, since that is the minimum you can reprocess, and you'll have most of the materials for the next quest.
- Optional: forego the time bonus. Mine the Kernite ore for a couple hours until the deadspace asteroid belt is depleted. In my case the most money was to be had by selling all the ore (and then buying what materials are needed for the last mission). It will be close to a million ISKs of ore on auction; on the other hand the mining takes several hours with the starter ship.
- Making Mountains of Molehills (10 of 10) - Industry - Important Storyline
- Find the necessary parts, and make a ship with the granted blueprint. Note that again, your cargo hold won't hold the item, so you will want to make it right there.
- Granted Items: (racial mining frigate) Blueprint Copy, such as Navitas Blueprint Copy (for Gallente version) or Burst Blueprint Copy (for Minmatar version). 5 run copy if you want to make more later.
- Reward: 1 unit of (racial industrial): Sigil (for Amarr version), Badger (for Caldari version), Iteron (for Gallente version), or Wreathe (for Minmatar version)
- Time bonus: a good bit of money (compared to previous missions in the series).
- Walkthrough:
- Manufacture the ship at the station from the blueprint in your hangar. Buy what missing materials you need for the job. You can also just turn in the one they gave you at step 2/10 or buy one on the market.
- Additional Information: refers you to contact Sister Alitura at Arnon IX - Servant Sisters of EVE. This is the start of the Gallente Epic Mission Arc. You don't have to complete Making Mountains of Molehills to start the Epic Mission Arc.
Note
- With the Apocrypha expansion due to release on March 10, this mission and all tutorial missions are changing completely. --Criswell 14:35, 6 March 2009 (PST)
