Overview
The Rifter is arguably the most popular of Minmatar frigates. Its flexibility, as well as generous hardpoints and HP, make it valuable for starting and veteran pilots alike. The skill requirements are low. In point of fact, any starting Minmatar combat pilot can fly this frigate right out of the box!
This Frigates greatest strength is its versatility; it can serve as a gunboat, mounting three turrets and a launcher; it can serve as a poor man's tackler, stacking its mid-slots with a warp scrambler and stasis webifier; or it can serve as a beginner mission runner with good armor plates/shield extenders.
there really is no downside to this excellent frigate, or it must be that it doesn't allow for a 1 weapon specialization. It does well in any circumstance and has won the hearts of many pilots. Some veteran pirates will swear by this frigate, gaining excellent skills and kills while using it. Beginners praise it for its survivability: it's quite difficult to get yourself killed in it. In any case, in the hands of a rookie or a pro, the Rifter is favored and is certainly destined to remain one of the most popular frigates available.
Description & Bonuses
The Rifter is a very powerful combat frigate and can easily tackle the best frigates out there. It has gone through many radical design phases since its inauguration during the Minmatar Rebellion. The Rifter has a wide variety of offensive capabilities, making it an unpredictable and deadly adversary.
