Thought I'd update this article a bit from my personal experiences. I can only assume this guide was originally written a long time ago, as it implies that you cannot attack an incoming convoy belonging to the station, where my experience has shown this is not the case. As long as I've attacked an incoming convoy I have not been fired upon by turrets. I have yet to test out attacking CONCORD convoys though. Other discrepancies I have found include distances (convoys seem to gather up to 60km out, warp out at about 125km and warp in at about 75km).I have left the example in for the time being, but will be doing a more thorough overhaul soon, after a bit more experimenting killing npc convoys. Scratch that reverting article, turns out sometimes you will get killed by turrets after all... Runia 17:29, 16 December 2007 (PST)
Sorry for all the posts in quick succession, I have no idea what they do, as far as I can tell the turrets don't attack you for attacking a convoy of the same station as one they just left, but the turrets do shoot if the aggresion timer is still running from your last convoy attack at that station. I should just state the real facts here in case anyone gets confused by this page. Sentry guns shoot you if you attack a convoy from the same 'owner' station. They shoot you if the countdown is still going. SO if you make a mistake and get killed by the sentries, either cut your losses and go elsewhere, or wait 15 mins for the countdown timer to time out. Hope that saves you a few more ships than I did! Runia 18:57, 28 August 2008 (PDT)
