Talk:Ships

Here we can talk about ship-pages. Yes, we can do that now.
Something to start : Ship Style Guide, Template:ShipStats and Template:Ship Info - Pesi 20:19, 6 January 2008 (PST)

I've started work on the template for the ship page itself (Template:Ship), which incorporates all three. At the moment, of course, it is far from completion. - Desequenced 21:11, 6 January 2008 (PST)
Another candidate : User:Zhao/Templates/ShipTemp. Could be good when finished. - Pesi 18:35, 27 January 2008 (PST)
I had quit working on developing this template, as it sounded like it wasn't wanted. Personally I dont think its that much harder to edit, as the categories are still named and people can still just edit each section individually if the code is too daunting. If you'd like to see the page finished and implemented then I will certainly finish it up. Zhao --18:25, 29 January 2008 (PST)
The {{Ship Info}} template has been derided. I would like to see a summary sidebar of some sort for ship pages; arguments about duplicating information do not negate the utility of a summary. --Eirik Ratcatcher 11:08, 9 May 2008 (PDT)
I agree with this point. First of all, either all ship pages should have the template, or none should have it. As it stands now it's halfway in between. I like the template personally, it gives a quick, easily readable overview of the ships capabilities. Not to mention I also find it much more pleasing to the eye than the big picture on the pages that dont utilize the template. I also think Zhao's Template looks really good. I guess what im trying to find out is: where do we stand on this at the moment? — Fenris (talk)

I would be more than happy to mock something up. I think the pages are rather disorganized in general at the moment and a solid universal style guide plus a template for all ships would definitely be a HUGE step forward. Anyone want to drop some ideas as to what information is pertinent for a ship info box template? If not I'm going to just make something up and see if I can get a concensus. Hit up my talk page. - Snoogans 13:01, 17 September 2008 (PDT)
Bing bing, I stand corrected: I don't see any reason to reinvent the wheel when it's pretty round already. - Snoogans 13:09, 17 September 2008 (PDT)

Opux luxury Yacht

I'm pretty sure that the Opux used to be the Opus, but I can't find any official announcement of the name change. Old CCP graphics and news articles use Opus, although the data dump is now 100% Opux. Trademark issue, perhaps? I've noted it in the ships list to make it easier for people to find; if anyone has any authoritative information on when/why it was changed, please add it as I would like to know! Rationalizing

Ship redirected to Ships, and Talk:Ships redirected to Talk:Ship. If you really want the history of the text on this page, go to Talk:Ship. It is silly, though, to have one of each redirecting to the other. --Eirik Ratcatcher 11:19, 17 March 2009 (PDT)

Table of sizes and chronological order?

I have been looking for a simple table, that would show in which order you can get certain ships, aka comparison table of different ships. Like with a mining ship, you would prefer (if caldari) bantam, then to osprey to mining barge. to eventually get covetor. What would be optimal for PvE fighters and scanners? How would you want to proceed from smaller to bigger? SO i want a tree or a table that would show what ship calss is bigger than the previous ship. Is battlecruiser bigger than frigate? (and so on) --JHawx 10:22, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
